All Terrain Tires

All terrain tires are designed for both on and off-road use. They do work well on highways and in the mud. However, they can’t be the best in either one. Mud Tires are much better in the mud but All Terrain are smoother and threads last longer when driving on paved roads and highways. All Terrain feels more like street and performance tires and they don’t have soft grip which help when riding pavement. They do ride more quietly than mud tires. if you are considering an off-road tire, consider where and how you will be using them.

Mud Tires

Mud tires, as the name suggests, are designed and built to get you through the mud. They are made from a softer compound, allowing the lugs to grab more mud. The threads have wider gaps. Mud tires do work well on tough conditions such as deep snow, loose gravel, and rocky beaches. However, Mud tires are noisy and perform poorly in wet or rainy conditions and they do wear faster than All Terrain.

which one is better?

It depends on what you will be using them for. If you will be going to the mountains and you will be driving more in tough conditions, Mud tires might be a better choice as they are built just for that. If you are going to driving your truck more in highways and you will occasionally go to the mountains or beaches, All Terrain is a better choice. it will last longer and you will have smoother ride.
